A few days ago, I came across this article in the LA Times that focused on the growing trend of aquascaping your aquarium. Ofcourse they mentioned Takashi Amano (to which I have a fond connection toward). It’s a really interesting article that you should read if you have the chance.
It focuses on a store in San Francisco called Aqua Forest Aquarium and how the owners (George & Steven Lo) have found a special niche by creating natural replicas of miniature underwater worlds. Some of the creations are just amazing. Next time I’m in SF, I’m going to stop by their store. It might make me want to start up my Amano-inspired tank again.
here’s one of my favorite tanks.
