Haha, that guy comes with every new file you make, for scale I assume.
His shirt is usually white though, you have my girlfriend to thank for dying his shirt pink while I was out of the room.

Ryanoh,

IMO you can ditch the front verticle brace so you can see the two 10 gallons better. Just bring it up to the base of the first level. From there add a 3rd horizontal brace on the top in the middle going the same direction as the other two.

Also, how are you supporting the bottom level? It looks like you're just bolting a piece of plywood in place. Even though they're just 10 gallons each, they'll need a little bit more support. You could probably pull it off with some quick 1x4 or 2x4 supports.

Yeah, there's 2x2s under the plywood on the bottom shelf. The piece of wood in the front is mostly for aesthetic reasons since I had to put a piece on the sides of the tank, but I might make it thinner.

I was planning on putting drawers under the 10, then flip-up things to cover the space above the 10s but still let me get in there whenever I need to.

Do we even want to know?
I have some sort of infection/abscess thing back where my wisdom teeth are. I have no insurance (to speak of...I have state health care ATM, but they don't cover dental).

Thanks, Dylandrewsdad. It actually hurts worse today than it did last night.

I'm paying taxes so people on state run health care can get by and you don't even get dental? Jesus, with as much taxes I pay you should have your own home and you can't get dental? (I'm just poking fun and don't really mean anything.)

Cloves and/or numzit can help. If you know where it is you might be able to get away with lancing it yourself, but I wouldn't do that personally. IMO put off getting more fish stuff and fix your face hun.

It just suddenly appeared the other day. No pain, swelling, build-up, nothing. Just woke up Tuesday morning to some pain and swelling, then yesterday is seemed like it was better until the evening when the pain really took off. I have been rinsing it with hydrogen peroxide and it helps a bit (there was a puss pocket in the back that isn't there anymore). The biggest problem now (other than the pain that is giving me a serious headache) is that I can't open my mouth wide enough to get most food in...and when I do get food in, I can't chew it! When my parents get back from camping, I think I'm going to ask them for help (they already offered, but I was kind of hoping it'd go away on its own).

Random Announcement:
I transferred my fry from the 1.5 gal jar to a 6-7 gallon plastic storage container and did a fry count:

139 FRY! Give or take a couple.

======================================

...and I just looked at my 29 gallon. How many snails come out of the standard clutch/cocoon/blob for mystery snails? I have three of them that I didn't see a couple days ago.

======================================

Paige,

I hope you're feeling better soon. I knew a guy who had some infection brewing in a wisdom tooth socket and soothed/cleaned it with swishes of vodka. It might ease the pain a bit.

Random announcement-My 2 oto's for my tank at work cleaned all the algae in one day! The 6 in 55 at home have alot more work to do however!

@ Newman-Thanks!
@ Paige-Hope you can get to see the doc soon.
@ Aak-WOW 139 fry! What are you feeding them? I have a VERY pregnant platy at home I just moved to her own 10G tank. Hopefully she will give birth today. I will then move her back to the 39 and let fry grow predator free in there own 10G.

I'm feeding them Hikari first bites right now and they seem to be okay. There's probably some infusoria type stuff going on in their water because it stinks like hell. I'm also using water strictly from the top of my 29 gallon so the parameters don't tweak at all. There's also the singular pond snail in there. Yes, I'm running 50% daily water changes.

So...anybody want some danios or snails in a few months? :p

Now that I have some decent plant coverage, I have like 30 platy fry that survived over the last week, and nowhere to put them. Awesome. :/

I have a spare ten, I was just thinking that I'd have to cycle it all over again, but then I remembered I put the filter media in the back of my Penguin filter so that I wouldn't need to cycle when I set my ten up again. Good thinking, go me.
