Here's a couple more since I was camera happy tonight. Now if I only had a decent camera, I would be happy!

10g

20g (horrible pic)

There is really no rhyme or reason to what I'm doing here other than just growing plants. I keep saying to myself "I'm gonna get more plants so I can do a real aquascape." One of these days, I will! I even have a list of plants I want!

Tank info

10 gallon:
-3.0 watts per gallon via 2-15 watt NO flourescent bulbs (GE Sunshine), along with a little morning sunlight
-Seachem Onyx substrate (remember from the sticky post in the plant forum?)
-Aquatech 20-40 filter
-Pressurized CO2 injection
-I have no idea what the nutrient levels are. I never test them, but I do water changes at least once per week (50%).
-I add 5mL of Tropica Master Grow 2-3x per week, along with 5mL KNO3 solution 2-3x per week, a pinch of Super Phosphate 2x/week, and a shake of Muriate of Potash 1x/week.

Plant list:
Pearlweed (Micranthemum m.)
Alternanthera Reineckii
Java Fern
Wisteria (Hygrophillia difformis)
Water Sprite
Glosso
Chain sword (E. tennelus)
Ludwigia repens

20 gallon
-3.75wpg via 1-55 watt PC (6700K), and 1-20 watt NO flo (GE sunshine)
-Seachem Flourite (100%)
-Marineland HOT filter w/ bio media (rings) and filter floss
-Pressurized CO2 injection
-I don't know the nutrient levels. Same nutrient dosing as above, but double the amount.

Plant list:
Same as above
Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia nummularia)
Crytocoryne Wendtii v. Red
Tiger Lotus
Spiral Val
Flower pot...huh??? :)

The 20g is a really cool tank, but that photo sucks so bad I should take it down. You cannot see the back plants at all, which kills the whole sense of jungle-esque depth! (I bet you never knew there was a flower pot in there!) I took some daylight photos today. Let me see if any are usuable.

Looking nice. The only suggestion i have is for your 10g. The plants have somewhat broad leaves and make the tank seem smaller. If you went with some more fine leaved plants i think it would make the tank feel more open and possibly larger.

So out of the two onyx sand and flourite which seems to be your favorite? And it says you inject pressurized C02, do you split that up into both tanks or do you have a different c02 unit for each tank?

I'm not sure which substrate I like the best. The sand is nice and plants contrast well against it, but there is a "cold" feel to the tank. The regular flourite adds a nice warmth to the tank, but the red-ness is a bit strong when trying to get the plant colors to stand out. I would not trade the Flourite in my 100g for Onyx. I think Onyx might be my favorite if I could add a better variety of plants (colors) to solve that desolate feeling.

Both tanks use one CO2 unit that uses a Y-valve with separate needle valves built-in. I picked it up at a local welding supply shop for $13.
