Have any pics?......LFS discus are usually not "up to par" with breeders.

Sometimes they are but, what kind are they?

2 in discus can get tricky......if you are a begginer go for the biggest you can afford first. Small discus require water changes about once a day. Yes i know sux doesn't it!

Read up on discus before you get them......i mean A LOT of reading.

HEH $10......I'd be tempted to buy them. But make sure you know where you are putting your money and what you are getting!

Do they have a website?

I'm pretty far from being a beginner. I actually keep much much much more difficult fish than discus, like freshwater moray eels. I have no intention of getting the discus. I have no place. I wish I did though. They Are natural color phase S. aequifasciatus I believe. They could be S. discus, but the coloration and dorsal fin suggest S. aequifasciatus (although coloring really is a bad way to tell with these fish). I was just letting everyone here know, in case there are any Texans out there that want to drop by and have a look. I don't think the place has a website.

my dads friend mike had a nice 90 gallon discus tank, but he had to go out of town on buisness, and when he was gone a power outage managed to destroy the entire tank population. he was heartbroken (had the discus for a while.) and hasnt gotten back into it yet. i just told him to make sure he has a backup generator hooked up to the tank incase something like that happens again, and hopefully avert another disaster.

was it 10 bucks for the pair? if not 10 for one is still a good deal, but like cichlid man said they could be sub-par fish. the only discus ive seen here was a red/turquoise discus for 14 bucks.

hehehe "step right up step right up! and be the proud owner of a ten dollar discus:D this is a special discus with a built in timer! and is set to die 2-3 days after you get it home, and just to infuriate you further, this discus comes with no money back guarantee, and many other problems youll soon discover once you put it in your own tank! like infesting your tank with ich or some other low level parasite, and destroying your tanks current population! and for those of you overseas that wish to own discus YOU TOO can be a part of this obvious scam! just send 10 bucks (plus $299.95 S&H) to

Insert Evil LFS name here

I am new to the freshwater hobbie, but $10.00 for a discus sounds fishy to me. The fish shop where I get my supplies are charging $65.00 each and for small discus he is getting $50.00 each. I would be carfull buying them.
