IMO a bio-wheel would do nicely. Of course there is always the bullet-proof standby . . . AquaClears. As a personal preference, I always size the filter the next level up from what the MFR recommends.

the ac 150 is the obvious choice.while you can use a marineland filter,they cause excessive evaporation in tanks that small.i still think the bypass on a hob filter of that design,regardless of manufacturer is unacceptable.just my opinion though
