Curiosity is going to kill the cat right here, but...is the water in your 10gal brown due to tannins? The 5gal looks great, though.

LOL no its the lighting, i like to get adventrous in my fish keeping, so i decided to do brown lighting this time around, before it was a neon green but that was to bright so i did a brown, and next time i planning on red Id like to hear everyones comments

looks pretty good; but I think some live plants would make it look nice too!

I hope you know that common pleco is going to have to go to a bigger (55 gallon+) tank when it outgrows this one. They can get 24"!

Looks good. Beta tank could use some rocks in between the plants IMO.
