10 gallon tank with bottom crack

I've been trying to figure out if I can fix this tank and start another little aquarium... Is it worth it to fix? I read online that you can buy some plexiglass, lay it on the bottom of the tank and silicone it down. What do you think?

Fixable, probably. How bad is the crack? Can you post a photo?

If the cost of a replacement tank is roughly the same as the cost of the plexi, silicone and time - then go with that.

WalMart
PetCo and PetSmart have them for about $11. It's just a plain tank, no other equipment.

CL is a good place, you can usually get the from $5-$10. Any LFS may have some used ones for the same amount.

If you already have filter/heater/etc... Id just buy a new one and spare you the trouble.

I'd go to wal-mart and invest in the $10.28 10 gallon tank! Cheap and easy, and like unwritten law said, and maybe a few others, if you have a good filter already then I'd just swap it in to help to reseed the new tank.
