10 gallon tank

I was thinking about setting up my 10 gallon tank as a small saltwater tank. Nothing special I just want to have another tank to play with. I figured I would run it mainly as a QT tank to introduce new fish but also to house some smaller fish and inverts. Can I go without a skimmer on a 10? I figured PC lights would be a good cheap lighting.

You can't really use it as a QT and house other fish/inverts. If you do that you will have no way to medicate if necessary.

That said, there is no reason to put a skimmer on a 10 and PC or T5 lights would be ideal

I understand that maybe I would just use it as a fish only tank.

if u set it up as quarentine or fish only either way you wont need pc nor t5 lighting ...lol your looking to do the opposite from me..id like to get it down where im only doing a waterchanges and testing params for 1 tanks *crazysmil

If I do just fish only I won't put new lights on it. I'm not sure if i'm going to do this or not. I agree 1 tank is enough, but I would like another.

Even if you set it up as fish only it won't be able to be used as quarantine...

Maybe I should just leave it empty in case I need a QT.

probably a wise decision, or buy another 10 gallon, they are only 10$

Good point. I bet as soon I would get it setup I would need a QT.
