100s of white dots

what are the white dots on the glass? there are seriously hundreds or thousands of white dots on the walls of the tank... what could they be?

the description sounds like encrusting snails. I had the same problem in my 20 when I introduced bumbleebee snails into the tank that were carrying them on there shells. Next thing I knew encrusting snails on powerheads, rock, glass, everything

i have what i assume are sponges on my glass and powerheads. they are dang small, but grow. but i usually scrape them off. so yours might be tiny sponges.

what areencrusting snails? will they go away or should i scrape them off?

you can scrape them off with a razor blade but they will be back, they always come back... I just kept them off of the front glass and side glass for veing purposes and when I cleaned my powerheads I would scrap them off the outside covers and the ones I couldnt get were killed by the vinegar bath for the cleaning.

Often very small serpulid worms.

I have similiar dots all over my tank as well. I never seen anything come out of them. I just clean them off the front of the glass. I was hoping mine where pod waiting to hatch. If I look at mine up close they look to have tiny tiny little eggs in them.
