Ok I have a ten gallon that I want to finish sometime this summer. I was thinking on setting it up as either a Fire belly toad/newt paulidarium or go brackish and get some crabs/BBGs.

OR I could go with some kind of biotope like do an asian theme tank with a betta and some Rasboras/WCMMs or do a NA setup with Misquiter Fish and a cray. Hell I could do a amazonian tank with neons and GBRs.

OR I could set it up and get a tarrantuala/ emp. scorpion setup.

Give me ideas.

Do not do the mosuito fish. My daughter scooped up 3 tiny grain sized fry from a pond and wanted to keep them. I said yes and after 1 year had 23 full grown ones that attacked each other constanty and any other fish in the tank.

My fave 10g setup was an Asian biotope. I had a betta, 3 or 4 harlequin rasboras, java moss, various other plants I don't remember (maybe java fern for one), a piece of driftwood in one corner with plants all over it, sand, 'boulders' and river rock arranged in a natural riverbed style, and toward the end I added a few stalks of resin-coated bamboo, which I harvested locally and resined myself. For a while I had a couple of otos in there even though they're not Asian just to help with an algae outbreak. (I then placed them back in the big tank with the other otos.) I got more compliments on that tank than I did on my 55g Amazon, which got quite a few. I am seriously thinking of doing another tank like that.

Brilliant. That's one of the best things I've seen on this forum. As far as the tank. Bob - I had fire bellied newts at one point. I had bad luck with the frogs, but the newts were really cool and I enjoyed them while I had them. For what it's worth.
