15 fish into 2

in my 20 gal., there was areal bad case of ick/fungus disease.i originally had 15 healthy energetic fish, until the first outbreak of ick. i did everything i could to treat them, but one by one each one of them developed ick. after there were about 5 fish left, there was a bad fungus outbreak. eventulally the only ones to survive were the rosy barb and pleco
