Cories are VERY sociable little fish, so I wouldn't be too alarmed about putting in "a couple more", if it will be just that. I have had 9 cories in my 29gallon tank for 2 years now, and they seem to all get along fine. With cories, the more the merrier, in my opinion.

I'd say that there probably aren't too many... it's not like they all need individual territories. But, you might not want to add any more cories. I'd save some of the bottom room and move those clown loaches over once they outgrow the 10 gallon. Then maybe you could get pygmy cories for the 10.

I had 2 clown loaches in my 20g and had my first 3 fish die once they were introduced 6mos after my initial setup. 2 neons and a cory. My lfs then told me loaches love to eat neons. What do you think? I gave the loaches back to my lfs.

A lot of fish like to eat neons, probably because of their small size and they are so dang colorful. I have a killifish that tried to eat my pristella tetras.
