I want to know if I can keep 3 Molly fry in a 1g tank that has a Java Fern and a 2g Eclipse Filter? Also how long would it be until I will need a laarger tank?

In my opinion, I would go for at least a 5 gallon when raising fry. Mollies are a bit larger than guppies so you'd have to take that into consideration when raising them to adulthood.

Your 1 gallon idea could be pulled off. The tank would have to be cycled and maintained properly with partial water changes. You will be feeding a lot and a 1 G gets dirty real quick.

Last thing, your mollies will keep producing so even if you have 3 fry now, you might have twice that many a month from today. And if you plan to raise them, then your 1 G idea is really going to be hard to do.

well since u already bought the tank and what-not, i would put a bettta in it then i duno, go get a 10gal for all the fry ur molly will be having

Yeah see he hasnt gave birth yet but I think maybe anywhere from a week to a 3 weeks I should be seeing fry. I also wnted t know about how many fry can be put into an Ice Cream Bucket, also would they be alright without a light?
