well, seeing as it has been a full 24 hours since i've pestered everyone with questions... ;)

1) i've noticed that there is brown algae on the heater in my tank (no where else in the tank) as well as in my sisters (she has some in other areas of the tank also). have others found that their heater is a common place for algae to grow? i'm thinking it's because it's the heat source and it seems logical, but i guess i'm just wondering because i never hear anyone else mention this. i'm probably going to get an oto or two, unless you'd recommend just scraping the algae off myself and not getting an otos...

2) my hob filter is making a slight clicking sound. it isn't affecting the water flow at all, and it's hardly noticeable, except that i was sitting in my room reading and it was very quiet. the sound isn't constant, there are just little quiet clicks. should i turn the filter off and take it apart to look inside or anything? or just leave it alone for now?

i really should be going to sleep... i have a 9 am class in the morning.

The places where I get the most algae is on the glass of my hood and my heater... I guess that the heat makes it grow better...

The clicking sound may be the sign of a dirty or improperly seated impeller.
