20 Gal bottom feeder

Looking to get some bottom feeders this weekend to compliment my very active platies.

its a 20 gal, planted tank... not established and no algie growth.. so i was thinking a couple corys to clean up the flakes.

what do you experts think?

Get 5 corycats and a dojo loach. If your want something active shoot for the dojo loach. I have 3 corys in my 20gal and I love them. I also have a RN pleco (not that active IMO) and a Gold dojo(who is the crazyist thing i have seen).

how many platies do you have?

i agree, corys would be a fun bottom feeder.

I have 5 very active friendly platies.

I like corys, but now that i read some stuff on the dojo loach having 2 of those would be fun too

Is it a 20g Long or High? Long you've probably got room for both cories and a pair of loaches... high really isn't big enough for dojos.

the tank is only 24" long... so im gonna guess a 20 gal high.

oh and as of this morning I have 5 platies and a handful of platy fry... hopefully they find shelter in my plants

if you wait another few weeks (2-3) the plants can root better and this way the plants wont be floating all over the place once you add your new bottom fish in
