Currently have 6 Glowlight Tetras in a 20gal. High non-planted tank. Would like to add over time 6 Silver Tip Tetras and 3 Diamond Tetras. Does this sound like a good plan ? Any other stocking suggestions or is this enough or too much for a 20gal. High ? Just a beginner.
I would pick one school or the other and add 4-6 of them. If you have too many schools, it just looks confusing. Plus some bottom dwellers since otherwise you'll have an empty bottom. Cories or kuhli loaches would work well (both need groups of at least 3).
I like Caps' idea. I think that I would do the Silver Tips, just to add more color. And then I have found the Albino Cories to be the most active, but they all are.
In my 20 Galllon High I have 6 Bloodfin Tetras, 3 Albino Cory Cats, 3 Otto Cats, and 1 Red Dwarf Gourami. It seems to be a nice mix to me and they all get along, it's a happy and well balanced tank.
