Hi guys, been a long time since I posted on here. I’m looking for some advice, I’ve just brought a juwel rio 240, as it was at a stupid price!
However I’ve got a dilemma its t8 lighting and only 80w not powerful enough for the Amazon theme I really want. So if I went with the Amazon theme id have to boost the lighting and would want t5, which would have to go in the feeding hood (not going to be the most practical). Plus I would want a co2 system which would mean yet more money.
So putting my sensible head on I was thinking of going down the African cichlid theme as i always tend to stick to South American biotopes to date. If anyone could offer some advice on the most suitable cichlids for a 55g or if you reckon I should just go for what i was planning all along and go for the Amazon look. Either way I’m gonna love whatever goes in it, like most of you i find all fish amazing, so that’s not an issue!
