As i've said before i have a problem with this neon green algae that i magnet off the glass daily...most of you know the steps i've taken to slow or nullify the problem.

On more though from my newbie a$$, my tanks temp has been hovering around 80 to 81 when the MH's are on....well my dumbness never thought to turn the heater down thinking it was on its lowest setting and it was just my lights increasing temp. But i was able to turn it down havent had time to see what the temp does now with the light on....yadayadayada...what im gettin at is if the temp is a little lower will it help decrease my algae bloom....kinda a common sense question but just was hoping to get some clarity....

Thanks guys I hope yer all doin well....

i doubt you will get a noticeable reduction in growth--hair algae loves nutrients, particularly nitrate, phosphate, and silicate
do you have a biowheel? remove that to reduce nitrate (NO3)...for phosphate (PO4)reduce feeding and/or use purified water, same for silicate
