Hi, I'm begining to put together a 29 gal tropical community and need some ideas/advice on what would do best in the set up I am planning. It will be well planted with real driftwood but plenty of swimming space in the middle front area. I am also going for the amazon blackwater look so tanins are a plus. Here are the fish I like...I'm sure I will have to pair down what actually ends up in the tank though...so many great fish to choose from!

Harlequin Rasbora (I already have 5)
Cardinal Tetra
Rummynose Tetra
Boesemani Rainbow Fish
Bushy Nose Pleco
Sparkling Gourami
Dwarf Gourami
Cory cat species (undecided)
Gold Veil Angelfish
Marble Veil Angelfish
Cherry Barb

Like I said, I know I can't have all these fish. What combos would you all consider and how many of each?
Thanks!

AqAdvisor is a good place to start, but it tends to be conservative - which really isn't a bad way to start. One thing to remember is angel fish need a good deal more space than some of the other fish you mentioned. Should you get a pair and they mate, you will have trouble because they get very territorial.

I would skip the angels in a 29g as mentioned by Thyra, and increase the school size of rainbow fish if you get them. With your real driftwood, a BN pleco would be happy but they often need supplemental feeding with blanched veggies.
