29g needs gravel

I just got a used 29 gallon tank with a mirrored bottom and backdrop. It is really cool. So now I am trying to figure out just how much gravel I am going to need?

the bottom of the tanks area is 360 inches. So I was just wondering how many pounds of substrate am I going to need to buy? I want to make it a minimum of 2 inches deep.

Just get a 25lb bag.........Maybe 2 if you want a little terrain build up in the tank...

I just set up a 55 a month ago with white play sand and 2-5lb bags of blue marine sand it looks great but rule of thumb is 1 lb per gallon that should give you 2 inches easy.

Alright, so I am going to go with one 25lb of gravel and then I will mix in somthing else for the next 5-10lbs that I will probably need

are you going to use gravel in a salt water tank what are you going to have for fish when its set up

yeah, I have decided to switch it over to a salt tank, I was thinking something like argonite sand, but I was wondering. I have a house out on the ocean in long island new york, and I was wondering if I could use the sand from the beaches out there as a substrate? Is it the right stuff? or is it to course? or whats the deal?
