3-D backgroumd

Does anybody know of somewhere that i can buy a good resin or styrofoam background.Ive seen a couple DIY type but i dont know about my painting i can just imagine me trying to paint a realistic looking rock *laughingc

Get one those reptile 3-D backgrounds and fill it with something in the back (if you want to), with styrofoam or somethin. They have lots of sizes if you look right.

i would suggest not filling in teh back, instead add multiple powerheads hidden in the back with intakes pulling water behind it and extakes blowign wtaer out, this way you can add your filters, heaters, co2 reactors and stuff behind it and will nto have to see them, id also be careful with those reptile background though as they are not made for fish and might not have safe paint and such

I like soulfish's idea better about the back. But most of the reptile decor is safe for aquaria, cause some reptiles, such as snakes, are extremely sensitive to chemicals like soulfish is concerned about. All you gotta do is take extra precaution since water is like it is.

Thanks, i just want something different than the normal background you usually see, ive got a pretty big tank so i guess ill have to keep my eyes open for something,

They make those 3-D backgrounds for fish too. I've seen them at petsmart, and was really considering getting one. The one I saw at petsmart was 48x24, and i didn't get it because I had a 36x18 at the time.
