My J. marleri and my J. transcriptus have done it again. I just this morning noticed 3 new fry hiding amongst the slate I used to build caves for my Tanganyikans. I didn't observe any mating behavior this time eather. The only fry that survived from the other batch is about an inch now and starting to color up. I'm seriously thinking about seperating them after the fry can take care of them selves. The last thing the hobby needs is more hybrids.

tough break man...

if you really want to have some fun just toss a male kenyi in there. you could have some fun then with hybrids of all kinds!

(yes, i am aware that one is a mouthbrooder and the other a substrate spawner...just a joke)

Yeah I bet that would make a lovely combo. LOL. It really wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't in the military. Having to move every 4 years means I have to find someting to do with my fish. And I can't take my hybrids to a LFS. So thats means finding a home for them where they won't contaminate the hobby. I'll figure out something to do with them when the time comes.
