I would be interested in hearing any of your thoughts on my combination of fish. Long term I dont plan on keeping the haps with the PSE

next question? I am always watching my fish, and all of a sudden my 2 labs started hiding. Then I noticed that there are some funny black marks on there lips. I looked a day later and one was just bones. I though they were breeding. A pair of my PSE Saulosi had fry so I assumed the labs were doing the same thing?

Finally, How many fish do you think is appropriate for a 125.........

thanks

I'm not a big chilid person but it looks like your tank is overcrowded.

I don't know the answer to the second question.

If your talking about a 125 gallon tank, then it all depenmds on what fish you want in it. You could probably fit 125 neon tetras in it. :D

I'm not familar with the term "PSE"?

I think your mix is fine, even for long term...especially in a 125. The peacocks tend to be a bit shyer so there could possibly be problems there...depending on species of course.

Stocking is a little different on this tank. If you really arn't keeping the haps with the Mbuna the full time then i'd shoot for about 30ish mbuna. Thats a ballpark number. Depending on agression and sex ratios this number might go up or down. If you are keeping the haps/peacocks with them then just ease up on the number of Mbuna.
