30gal ideas?

I need some help deciding what to get for my new 30gal i got from my mom for Christmas. I want some kind of cichlid. So far i know i want to get

5 black skirt tetras
4 cories
3 hatchetfish(?)

Any thoughts are welcome!*PEACE!*

I think pretty much all of the apistos are cool. And of course i like bolivians! I think it would look cooler to just have one big school instead of 2 smaller schools of fish, plus you need to make sure there are 0 openings with the hatchets or they will jump.

If you can get them then some other kind of African would be good something like Buffalo Cichlids, hard to find but worth the effort.

Apisto's are also a good choice a decent harem could fit the tank nicely! mixed with a nice shoal of tetra's and the cory's the tank would look great
