I went to walmart today while my brother was buying new oil to change his oil and I decided to get 4 ghost shrimps for $0.26 each. They are cool looking and eats all my snails, what they do is take the snail and eat the inside and just leave the shell. It was incredible to see them do that, will post pictures when ever my sister's camera comes back since it's a good quality kind and mind isn't.

They mainly eat the waste from the bottom of the tank, or baby snails from my experience. I am not sure what fish to keep away from them but the fish that I am getting aren't going to my shrimp.

Puffers will happily eat ghost shrimp as will many cichlids. Really any omnivorous or carnivorous fish will take a swipe at them. Shrimp are just as often sold as feeders as they are peaceful additions to your tank. Give them something to hide under or in and they will happily live out their days eating crap from between the gravel.

So far, I believe rams wouldn't eat them. I saw some in my lps's tanks with rams, and they're still alive.

I have 5 otocinclus and 4 ghost shrimps in my 20 gallon, so far the otos are being good :)

Clowns may or may not eat Ghost shrimps, it really depends on if they are getting other treats (snails). My clowns never bother the amano shrimp though. Just be careful when doing your gravel vac, the shrimp will usually be in plants anyway, but you don't want to suck up one traveling.

Ghost shrimps these days are scaring me, lol when I went and changed my substrate for my planted 20g. I caught one of the shrimps with my net and transfered it to my jar, it hopped out and back into the tank.
