5.5 gallon tank

Hi,

I am getting a 5.5 gallon tank and looking for ideas. I have been looking at pics of nano-reef tanks. I want  to do something similar but with freshwater. Does anyone know of really cool, really small fish/plants/snails/whatever that I could use to make a really diverse micro-tank?

don't think u can go any smaller than neons...

and plants...go with riccia..or glossostigma....

you shouldn't have a problem with lack of light for such a small tank. and remember to add c02.

Neons, pygmy rasboras, harlequin rasboras, and white clouds are all good tiny schooling fish.

Sparkling gouramis and honey gouramis are tiny pairing fish.

There are a few species of pygmy corydoras that would be good bottom feeders for your tank.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. With the CO2, how do you add CO2?

Do you have any recommendations for rocks? I want to use the brownish river pebbles for the bottom. Make it look creekish.
