i have a read betta and i want to give him a bigger tank(5 gal)
and now i want some live plants and tank mate for a betta,and what is the best color gravel will go best with a red betta
so any sugestion welcom
it a low light aquarium with a filter and air

your betta will love the 5g...mine loves his. I think a gray or neutral color would look best with a red betta...anything except red or pink so that his color will contrast with it and show him off.

Live plants are difficult to grow in a low light place...but you could try some java moss or java fern.

As for a tankmate in a small tank like that, I don't think I'd get anything except maybe an apple snail.
