55 filter

ok i know i want 2 filters going in my 55. But what kind should i get.

I want something easy to like replace cartridges for and stuff.....lol nothing to complicated.

Should i get 2 double flow filters? or what?

Suggestions plz!

why not get two aquaclear 300's your tank should stay real clean with those.or a penguin 330 and an aquaclear 300

Or a marineland power pro 60 check it out at there web site and an AC 200 put three sponges in the AC that gives you mechanical biological and mechanical(you can take out one of the sponges and put in what ever you like).

Ok let me ask you this.....would i be better off getting a Bio-wheel type power filter or non bio-wheel. Or get 1 with the duel flows

I want 2 for the tank......so..

I've read canister filters are used on 55 gal and up.....i need some help hehe.

I think i'm gonna go with some kind of Bio-wheel power filter. Most likely get 2 of them for both sides of the tank. Thanx for your help guys

Personally, I would go with the Aqua Clears. The Penguins are kinda noisy with the bio-wheels. I have a P170 and a P330 and the water agitation is kinda noisy and annoying. If I had to choose again, I would go with the ACs.

how about a canister filter? you can try too pick one up used on the cheap.

420....what would you recommend for a 55 gal. i need 2 1 on each side of the tank and i want maximum filterage and i want quietness but effecencey. O yeah and i want it to be easily manageable.

yeah get 2 Eheim 2213 canisters. I have 1 for my 55 and it does the job, but I'm adding a second before I get my discus.

why do you want 2 filters on a 55?? I would recommend a single canister. with the intake on one side and the return on the other.
If your looking for extra water flow than get a power head to suppliment the filter.
