55+ Gallon Aquariums @ www.bigalsonline.com???

#3
I understand that they don't ship aquariums to the USA.
I have seen their aquariums in the catalog and called to ask the question.

if you are looking to buy big tanks, the best thing is to search for aquarium tanks in Google. There are many manufacturers willing to ship the tank.

Now a regulat 55 g tank is available at most stores for approximately $ 80 USA.

I hope this helps.

yeah ditto on ebay and classifieds.
I got a 55 with everything (heaters, lights, powerheads filters, etc) for 70$ on ebay, and I picked up a 75 gallon tank only on ebay for 60$

I dont think I'd ever buy a "new" tank when used ones are just as good and 1/4 the price

If the savings wasn't too high ($20-30) I'd probably buy new. If you buy a used tank, who knows what stupid things the previous owner did with it. Carrying tanks even a little full can stress out the seams, and cause them to fail in the future. Unless buying a large tank (100 gal +) I'd probably go new. My LFS is selling brand new 75 gallon tanks right now for $75. Now if you got a complete system, including decent filters and lighting, then I'd consider buying used for a great price. Just my $.02

If ordering a tank online, the shipping usually costs more than what you are saving by not buying locally. Ask your lfs if they'll price match, or at least give you a better deal. Good luck finding a tank!
