I have a Marineland BioWheel Power Filter Penguin 350. It's a HOB that's rated for up to 70 gallons and has kept my water crystal clear except for the two times that I had to put some powder in it to lower the pH. The biowheel is supposed to be great for establishing the bacteria colony. I got mine at aquariumguys.com, much cheaper than at the store, but they have them several places online, also at BigAls. Hope this helps.

I haven't used it, it's actually more expensive than the one I was talking about. I've heard good things about the biowheel, but the floss might work just as well. It's up to you. Hopefully someone else will jump in here that has more experience with different kinds of filters.

Penguin 350s are pretty good, but I like the aquaclears a whole lot better, an aquaclear 70 or 110 would work great. I will tell you, over here Petsmart usually has the best deals on filters compared to Petco!
