*BOUNCINGS Yay my African mbuna tank is up and running wth fish for almost a month. I got eight baby fish to start, 3 yellow labs, 3 red zebra, and 2 blue zebra; I'm planning on getting 2 more yellows. They are really growing fast! & The colors WOW! My rubber lip pleco gets along great with them and he eats all the green algae off the walls but I went on vacation and came back and there was brown algae all over the tank I had to scrub the walls down I had to leave the light on for 3 days while I was gone for my plants I think that's what caused the algae.
Any way I'm looking for a hard water top dwelling species some one suggested rainbow fish or hatchet fish. I didn't know rainbows were top dwellers I usually see them in the middle, & hatchets in hard water 8.2 - 8.0 Would my cichlids kill them? I'm adding a second power head today so there’s allot of current in the tank. Could rainbows or hatchets handle all this or is there a species that can?what about dannios(sp)?
