56 gallon tank

Hey guys, i just got a 56 gallon acrylic. It was given to me by my sister's boyfriend. It is in good condition except that there are some scratches on it but I can gert a removal kit. Any ideas of what i could do with it?   ???

first question would be...

freshwater or saltwater.

definately freshwater. also, what type of filtration and other accessories i could use.

im guessing you have kept fish before, so maybe try some discus. they would look great in a large tank and you could have a good amount in there to make a nice amazon biotope. thats just IMO though.  ;D

A fully planted tank.

You could even add some Angels or a couple discus.

I would go with a planted tank. Some discus would be great in there. Or you may want to do some african cichlids and do a rocky scheme. I don't know it all depends on your personal taste. ;D

Any of those would be great but i think u should put a large shoal/school of all kinds of rainbows and maybe if you want some....... ummmmm. wait let me get back to u with an answer ;D ;D

WOW that neon idea would be really cool. imagine a tank with driftwood, riccia, background plants and  large school of neons. you would have to get a couple other fish so that they would school though, becausee if they are alone in the tank they thend to just chill. maybe a couple boesemani or bigger tetras. as much as i like bigger fish that would be awesome.
