which tank would u prefer and why?

65 tall. It would be much easier to scape a standard tank. With the hex you'll see through several panes of glass and it will look distorted. And a standard tank is easier to light unless you plan on using MH.

I was thinking the same thing about the sight distortion...i prefer looking straight through one pane of glass...the only thing i liked about the hex is that it was different..and more shallow

Guess you should decide on what you want in there and how you can plant it. You'd have more height in a hex, and a smaller footprint but I dont think they are wide enough making it harder to light properly which would limit the kind of plants you could have. Just spend some time looking at them both trying to see what your end result would be from both tanks.
