getting a great deal on some coral later

and planning to grow them in my 6g long tank (was for my uncle's reptiles)
but he gave it to me. using a duel 25 watt light and a LED moonlight 1 watt.
someone said i should just use the moonlight if i want to grow them but doesnt it need the wattage to have bright colors?

do i need to have a certain fish or other things (besides LR) for it to grow?
is there such thing as COWLR? lol

many people actually do run fishless tanks for growing out coral, and it will work fine. You will definitely want the lights though (not just the LEDs). You don't even really need LR as the corals produce very little waste. A barebottomed tank with some eggcrate for placing frags should work great
