Thanks to the pump I bought off of Brockway, this past weekend I was able to make a UGJ (Under Gravel Jet) system. I've seen a few of them on here before, and loads on other sites. Its a very interesting and usefull setup for larger tanks to ensure that you have no dead spots.
With this tank I was worried that I would not have enough water flow for the whole tank and end up with some dead spots where waste could build up. As you can see, with the addition of the jets, I have pretty much eliminated this worry. Another big fanfare for the UGJ system is that if you have it setup properly, you never (or almost never) have to vacum the bottom again because the jets keep crud suspended in the water colum, allowing the filters more time to catch it.
