You could actually stock it much heavier than that. Most of the mixed africans are mbunas and people tend to overstock mbunas to help with the aggression factor. People put 14 in a 55 gallon so you could theoritically put double that in a 90 gallon. You should check out cichlid-forum.com, they have a lot of 90's over there that look great.

Most mbuna get to around 6 inches, african cichlids run the full range from 2 inches to 3 feet. Haps, or utaka tend to be a bit bigger in general.

good for you WAYNE, but i know how large different AFRICAN CICHLIDS *thumbsups get and i was generalizing on purpuse because i have a mix of different AFRICAN CICHLIDS *thumbsups , i have a few peacocks, mbunas, haps, and even some tanganyikan cichlids, so why should i not say assorted AFRICAN CICHLIDS *thumbsups , because in reality i do have assorted AFRICAN CICHLIDS *thumbsups
