Well people feed their plecos an "array" of foods so they grow very quickly, but feeding 1 time a food causes the grow quick but not as quick. For example, I have two plecos, that I got at the same time and same size. If I had them in seperate tanks and fed one only sinking pellets or wafers and he only grows 2" in the first year. The other one I feed wafers, zuccini, greens and whatever else, and he grows 4" in the year. The one that had more variety grw larger.

I just give it algea waffers. one about the size of your thumbnail takes it about 3 days to eat and the other fish help it. but this pleco is only about 3 inches long.

the web site gave me no new info. I'm not sure what kind of pleco I have. it is black with lil yellow spots. If I ever figure out how to get pics up on this site I'll put some up to show you what it is. The whole L168 and L052 don't tell me a whole lot.
