A pink kisser "perching" ?

Well the subject says it all. I have a 4" pink kisser in my 90 gal that likes to "perch" on things. Kind of like a loach would rest on the bottom of the tank, he perches on top of pieces of driftwood or even on the bottom of the tank. His dorsal spikes aren't up, so he's not stressed, and my ammonia and nitrite read 0. Is he acting normal? Anyone else have a gourami do this?

I've never seen a Gourami of any type that liked to 'perch'. That certainly doesn't mean, however, that one won't do it! Fish, like people, are very much individuals. As long as your 'kisser' seems healthy and is eating well I would worry a whole lot about it.

I have 2 that seem to nap in the tank midday. They lay next to each other and just perch on the gravel and nap. They have been doing this for months now, so I don't think there is anything wrong. It could very well just be boredom....
