hello!
i am an aquarist with some previous experience.  ive kept several different kinds of tetras in a 10 gal tank over the course of about 5 yrs, but after all my fish died i put my tank in the garage.  now im about to rediscover the wonderful hobby of fishkeeping.  i have recently purchased a new 29 gal tank and i'm unsure of what fish to put in my tank.  i was thinking of putting in the following fish

- dwarf gouramis (not sure how many)
- gold barbs (6)
- rasboras heteromorpha (8 )

are these fish compatible? what should i keep the temperature at? i also want to keep another type of fish in my aquarium, preferrably a school of small, active fish.  any suggestions? also, how many dwarf gouramis should i keep in my tank? is it safe to have just males, or more males than females? i know this is a LOT of questions, but i would greatly appreciate any advice from anyone!  *twirlysmiley*

I would personally leave the gold barbs out...they get about 3.5" each....and would seriously limit your stocking of other fish. I would get 1 pair of Dwarf Gourami(1M,1F) the 8 rasboras sound fine, I would get 6 neons, 3 otos and 3 cories as well. Nicely stocked...lots of color and action. Good Luck! :)
