Acclimating coral

Hey I have a stupid question...

When you get a new coral...how do you get it unto your LR? I assume the corals arrive attached to a rock ? Do you then place that rock next to your LR and let it spread out eventually? Or do you need to glue that rock unto your LR?

really? do you have any coral now? how have you done it in the past?

Ive always wondered how the fish store ppl arrange their coral into these beautiful staggered displays. I mean..how do you get the coral to grow where you want it?

It depends on the coral...most soft corals and leathers come attached to rocks...along with mushrooms and zooanthids. LPS and SPS sually need to be placed on the rocks.

and if placement doesn't work (as in, they are unstable) a little super glue on the skeletal structure or piece of live rock they are attached to will do the trick
