There are lots of people out there claiming they can, but after breeding them for 12-15yrs i can't for sure.
Some say the male is just bigger or more agressive but i've found that does'nt work 100%. Other breeders say the female is fuller breasted under the gills, maybe sometimes.
Stay tuned, i'm sure you'll hear lots more opinions, but just wait till thier tubes drop & see the biggest is the female & the thinner is the male........Rich
