Acrylic tanks

Like I said in another thread, I saw an 80 gallon tank I could have bought for cheap but it looked kind of scratched, like it had been cleaned improperly.

Any quick and easy fixes for these kinds of things?

Nothing quick and easy, but it is fixable with buffing. It's a lot of work.

Depending on the scratches' depth, some are not very visible when it's filled with water.

Buffing is pretty much the only way. Acylic scratches very easy, their only drawback.

I've got a 40 gallon that looks like heck when it's empty with all the scratches on the glass, but when it's filled there are only just a few that's still visible. Like Lotus said only the deep ones will still show up once water is in the tank.

I also think that buffing out acrylic is much easier than glass. Still a lot of work though.
