Adding a Algae Eater

I have a 40 gallon tank with 7 small african cichlids. Do you think its okay to add a Algae Eater?

i would think so as long as the Africans grow up with the algae eater. When choosing Cichlids i have found that it is in your best intrest to buy fish of the same size. So as long as they are small it should'nt be a problem. Now, you might encounter a few problems when the africans get older and want to establish territory.
