ADF & tank cleaning

Was reading around on the net about ADF's and cleaning etc. Alot of what I read states 'taking the adf and placing it in a holder tank while cleaning'. Is that really needed? I can see for a smaller tank but I'm going to use a 7g and a python to clean. Does it harm them to do it that way? or just easier because they jump?

It doesn't harm them in any way, and I don't see how it's easier. I've never heard of that. Mine stays in the tank when I clean. The only way I could see it being a problem is if you pythoned right over him and sucked him up...

I didnt think it would be a problem either, I've never sucked up anything with the python before lol

I've definitely never heard of that. I have never had to worry about my ADF when it comes time for cleaning, so no, you shouldn't need to worry about it.
