hello all,

in my 25g i have 1 cosby gourami ( blue gourami ) and 3 mollies 1 dalmation male and 2 female sailfin mollies, and a bristlenose.i got rid of the golden sucking loach and i gave my 2 apple snails away as they were beggining to munch on my plants. any i have a few questions, would it be possible to move one of my female bettas (diamond) to the 25g? at the moment she is in a 4g (filtered,heated). i want to put her in but just wanted to run it past you guys first. will she get picked on ? will she get along with the fish i have already?.

I don’t see why you cannot just keep her in the 4 gallon. It sounds like a nice tank for a Betta. I’ve heard bad things about keeping MALE bettas with gouramis, but I don’t know about the females.

She should be okay in there. Just keep the 4gal running for a little while in case she doesn't get along with the gourami (I don't *think* it should be a problem, but it REALLY depends on Diamond's personality).

if it is a female blue gourami there most likely wont be much trouble. if it is a male it might try to mate with her.

lol if she looks healthy in the 4 gal there really is little reason to move her and risk something bad happening..

how do i find out if my blue gourami is male or female ??
