My group of 11 juvenile Mbwecas are starting to get a bit of size to them, the biggest couple are about 2.5" now. And they're really starting to do their parents proud, showing them up even in appearance.

Of all the African cichlids I've seen, these are definitely by far my favorite---excellent pics, as always! ;)

How old are the juvies and what size of tank have you been raising them in?

Thanks guys :)

BV, to be honest, I have no idea hold old they are at this point, lol. I can't remember when they were born (I really should get into the habit of keeping track), but they're at least 5 months now I would think. Originally they were kept in a breeder box until they were big enough to go into the growout tank, which was a 20gal long, where they stayed until about a month ago. When they got big enough, I moved them into the 55gal community tank, and they're doing really well. The extra space seems to have given some of them a growth spurt, and a couple are starting to get to a decent size for their age.
