Im setting up a (Weat) African Community Tank. Im going to have it heavily planted with some bogwood and rock caves.

Im still figuring out what to Stock it with.
The one fish I do want that got me the idea is Upside-Down Catfish. Then a pair of Kribs were also Suggested. But what else would be good for a 55 gallon planted tank with upside down catfish and 2 Kribs. Temp will be about 76F. PH 6.5-7.5.
Are there any type of Mouth Brooding fish from Africa that will work or other cichilid that won't fight for the bottom spaces?? And what other type of fish will work to fill in the space, that can with stand the Kribs aggression when spawning.

I was thinking 6-8 UDC and 2 Kribs [unless another pair could fit?] and a school or two of some small african fish.

Also what snails and shrimp will be good for a planted tank. I love watching the snails and shrimp they can be entertaining.

as for shrimp if you go with ciclids, i would forget it, they will quicly become snack

Try to get a loan of Anton Lamboj's guide to W African cichlids (assuming you don't want to buy it. ) There are some riverine mothbrooders. Then get som eAfrican tetras, and/or killies, and one of the nice smaller Syno catfish
