Africans and south americans?

Just curious, now that we've pretty much established my new fish are Pseudotropheus estherae, I'm wondering about some tank mates...

I really want to try Angels again... Could these fish be tankmates?

No

It's possible to get them to survive in similar water conditions, but the estherae will probably beat the heck out of the angels - it might not kill them quickly but they'll be real miserable, hang around a few months and die.
 How about some more africans, and some spottysyno catfish for contrast?
