Again, with the eggs

It must be the change in temperature - it has been pretty cold around here lately and one of my heaters did crap out - but everybody is spawning!

But now I am watching the *%@* convicts - at it again!


I know that people like to cuddle when it's chilly, but this is getting out of hand!

If the temp changes in a tank. Lower. It seems fish are triggered to spawn. It has something to do with the way the rainy season works. I know that that is one way to get corys to breed. And Platies seem to always drop after a water change with colder water.

I have found that if you give the convicts no flat surfaces and a constant changing temp....(not to much jsut a few degrees back and forth) that they will stop spawning

or the male could get mad at the female and beat the snot out of her. She wont come close to him now. In fact she hasnt left her hole for like 4 days.
