I've got 3 small (1.25-1.5inch) fancy goldfish in a 32g tank. The three get along great all day long and display the typical playful, curious and piggish characteristics of goldfish.

For the past week i've noticed that from about 6am-11am (tank lights come on at noon) one of the goldfish has to go into hiding because he/she is chased around the tank by the other two. Mostly it appears that one goldfish (Bubba) is the most aggressive and seems very active in the morning. What could it be? could it be a mating thing? not sure whether they are male/female.
